yule tidings!

seasons greetings and warm blessings to those who took the time to come look at this. these past couple weeks i’ve been spending a lot of time with hands on crafts and gift making for the holidays. here- i want to share with you my process of making dried fruit decorations for yule! for the altar, ornaments, charms, you can even candy them and share them!

i picked out each herb with a set intention. there are beginner witches that think too hard into the intention, i’ve done that a lot. it’s really as simple as whatever draws you to that specific tool, for the reason you know it for.

herbs i used

  • cinnamon: , healing, protection, power, love, luck, strength, and prosperity

  • rosemary: improved positive memory retention, protection, purification, love

  • nutmeg: bringing luck, protection

  • lavender: love, protection, healing, sleep, purification, and peace. aids in the healing of depression

  • ginger root: Draws adventure and new experiences. Promotes sensuality, sexuality, personal confidence, prosperity, and success. Adds to the strength and speed of any mixture

  • chili powder : Fidelity, strength, perseverance, passion.

  • mistletoe : Creativity, prevention of illness/misfortune, and protection from negative spells & magick. [Note: Poisonous, use with caution.]

  • bay leaf: Protection, good fortune, success, purification, strength, healing

there are so many neat little things you can do with these herbs. like sprinkle some nutmeg in a green candle for prosperity. or burn some lavender to induce sleep. everyone is different, so are everyone’s intentions. if your intention is to make it through the energy pass while staying mindful and present? that’s valid! that’s definitely something to bring in to yourself and focus on your breathing while you are working the craft.

thanks!
